In the Franklin-Method® we experience
the benefits of the mind-body connection through imagery,
movement and touch. Our imagery will provide the brain with
the feedback it needs to create improved ease of movement,
flexibility and strength. The revolutionary aspect of the
Franklin-Method® approach to anatomy is that it is based
on evolution. Taking into account the changes and challenges
the body has gone through and the solutions it came up with.
Principles from bio-mechanics are introduced and touch is
used to increase awareness. The goal is to harmonize the underlying
systems into a whole from where health and well being flows.

This workshop focuses on the practical application
of imagery techniques to raise awareness and connect with
the ‘Iliopsoas muscle complex’ (Psoas Major, Iliacus
and Psoas Minor)
The iliopsoas is the only muscle group in the body that connects
the spine directly to the legs, via the pelvis, and this greatly
influences pelvic alignment.
The iliopsoas muscles are unique in their nature and can perform
complex movements. Conditioning these muscles helps to improve
lumbar stability,
balance and extension.
In the workshop we will learn:
• How the Iliopsoas enables
upright posture
• How to develop a sense
of location and direction of this muscle complex
• How to distinguish between
deep and superficial hip flexor muscles
• How to align your legs
and spine through the iliopsoas
• How to increase hip
and spinal flexibility
