Pilates Performance
studio
It is a founding principle of Pilates Performance
to look at every client individually and to tailor a program that
will consider the client as a “whole”. Each individual
has a unique history, goals and requirements, which are the starting
point for creating a personalised Pilates programme that will improve
fitness, posture and body awareness. |

 |
 |
As a
new client you attend an Introduction Course that consists
of three private lessons. During the Introduction Course we
learn about any relevant medical history, fitness level and
other factors that might influence the program we design for
you. If you are in the process of treatment or rehabilitation
with a doctor or therapist (i.e. osteopath, physiotherapist
etc.) we ask to consult with that professional in order to
establish a program that will complement the ongoing treatment. |

Next, we will take
you through a series of exercises that will introduce you to the
fundamental principles of Pilates and its specialised equipment.
These exercises help us assess your posture and determine imbalances,
strengths and weaknesses.
Based on your assessment, we structure your individual program and
ensure that you are comfortable with it and with the Pilates equipment
being used.
After completing the Introduction course you will join the Semi-Private
classes, where you will continue to progress at your own pace and
level. Your progress will always be monitored using a unique charting
system, which gives structure to each Pilates workout. This ensures
that the program is comprehensive and complete, and that you benefit
fully from the time invested.
Our system of concentrating on each individual allows for great
efficiency and flexibility – you can attend any class, at
any time, and benefit from each of our instructors’ unique
teaching style. This system is unique to Body
Arts and Science studios around the world. |

|
|
| |
It
is our belief that a Pilates workout should be focused and
have a continuous flow, not lasting longer than the optimal
time for the client to maintain focus and concentration, therefore
classes typically last for one hour.
Clients are encouraged to take two classes a week in order
to create the continuity, which makes Pilates truly efficient
and satisfying. |
